The Earthshot Prize 2024 Nomination

We are thrilled to announce that Mykor has been nominated for the prestigious Earthshot Prize 2024, a global initiative dedicated to recognising and supporting innovative solutions to our planet's most pressing environmental challenges.

The Earthshot Prize was launched by Prince William in 2020 to search for and scale the most innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges. The prize encompasses five different goals and ambitions for 2030: Protect and Restore Nature; Clean our Air; Revive our Oceans; Build a Waste-Free World; and Fix our Climate.

We were nominated under the Build a Waste-Free World and Fix Our Climate goals. 

At Mykor, we aim to decarbonise the construction industry by developing circular materials made from industrial residues, powered by biotech. We are tackling 31% of global carbon emissions with one single product. By properly insulating our buildings, we can combat 28% of global carbon emissions through heating and cooling energy.
